COLLABORaTION.

“Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.” - Helen Keller

I have experience working with a cross-section of representatives and groups, often working with multiple agendas, goals and budgets to build the best outcome for everyone.

Through partnerships with councils, BID groups, public sector organisations, local organisations, non-profits, charities, businesses and volunteers working together to create events and support projects a multitude of benefits can be unlocked.

Collaboration has the power to drive positive change within communities.

  • Firstly, collective resources, skills, and knowledge are pooled, enabling a comprehensive and effective approach to community issues and opening a diverse range of expertise, funding opportunities, and community networks.

  • Secondly, cross-sector partnerships break down silos and provide a holistic understanding of community needs. This multidimensional approach allows the generation of innovative solutions that tackle complex challenges from multiple angles.

  • Thirdly, collaboration promotes community engagement and participation, empowering individuals and groups to actively contribute to their community's development.

By involving local organizations, non-profits, charities, businesses, and volunteers, a sense of ownership and collective responsibility is fostered, leading to sustainable and inclusive outcomes. Collaboration strengthens the social fabric of our communities, nurtures relationships, and generates a positive ripple effect that extends beyond individual projects.

Herne Hill - 1948 Olympics event

Herne Hill is one of only a handful of remaining venues from the 1948 Olympics. To coincide with the 75th anniversary of the event they organised their first UCI registered race attracting cyclists and spectators from across the UK and in to Europe.

As part of the event I project managed the challenge to find the few surviving ‘48 Olympic cyclists (or their families) to attend and be involved with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque. This involved working closely with Herne Hill, British Cycling and Manchester Wheelers to track them down and then co-ordinate their arrival and engagement with the event.

The event and the commemoration gained coverage on the BBC news and through a number of other publications including Cyclist Magazine.

Kensington and Chelsea Festival

21st June - 31st August 2021

The Kensington and Chelsea Festival aims to bring people together to celebrate, inspire and be inspired with a variety of cultural and immersive events run throughout the Borough each summer.

During the summer of 2021 I worked with Fay Campbell events, to source and coordinate a variety of acts and entertainers at 4 locations in Chelsea each weekend in July and August. This equated to 33 acts over 9 weekends. Artists included Shanty Singers, a Mariachi Band, Bubbleologists, Hula Hoopers and Circus performers.
